no.1 - YOUR WORK IS YOUR WORK. After you submit your work to MADE, we promise that it still belongs to you. You're giving us permission to use it when we want, but it's not ours. Thanks for sharing with us.

 

no.2 - YOU'LL GET CREDIT. If we use your work, you'll be given credit where we use it. For writing submissions, you'll be entered as the author. For photos, we'll put your name in the bottom right corner. If you give us your Instagram username when you submit your work, we'll be sure to tag you and mention you when we use your submission on our Instagram. Once we've used something you submitted, we'll list it under your name on our Contributors' page. Artists should get credit for what they create. (Note: Any photo that is not attributed on our website is a Creative Commons Zero licensed photo. We hope to eventually have 100% of the photos on our website be from our contributors, and we'll give each of 'em credit.)

 

no.3 - YOU WON'T BE SURPRISED. If you're submitting writing, we might edit for grammatical and spelling errors, but we'll leave the rest alone to keep the integrity of what you created and the meaning of what you wrote. If you submitted a photo, we might have to crop it a bit in order to share it on different platforms or fit it into different formats (blogposts, Instagram, Facebook cover photos, etc.), but we won't edit it. You'll never have the moment of surprise when you see that your work was edited without anyone asking you.
